Hydrogeotechnics is a term for collaborative efforts at the intersection hydrotechnical and geotechnical engineering.

Ongoing hydrogeotechnical research include:

• Examining the use of biopolymers to reduce seepage losses from earthen canals (research in collaboration with Professor Tim Gates); funded by Colorado Agricultural Experimental Research Station
